According to people familiar with the matter cited by Bloomberg today, DeepX, a chip unicorn headquartered in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, has completed a new round of financing. Its valuation has soared to four times its previous level, highlighting the market’s continued optimism about the AI boom.

According to people familiar with the matter, DeepX’s latest financing round valued the company at approximately 3.14 trillion won (note: approximately 14.868 billion yuan at the current exchange rate). The company has now completed the initial fundraising for its Series D round.

At the same time, DeepX is seeking additional funding. The company plans to raise 300 billion won before September (approximately 1.421 billion yuan at the current exchange rate). After this round is completed, DeepX’s post-money valuation could reach as high as 3.5 trillion won (approximately 16.572 billion yuan at the current exchange rate).

For reference, DeepX develops AI-specific semiconductor architectures. Its products primarily target AI applications, with key use cases including robots and smart electronic devices.
