According to a report by CCTV News today, reporters learned from the National Development and Reform Commission that since the beginning of this year, China’s computing infrastructure has been further strengthened. The first fully domestic 100,000-card artificial intelligence supercluster recently went into operation, marking the country’s computing infrastructure construction entering a new stage of 100,000-card-scale deployment.
The report noted that multiple national computing nodes are undergoing a new round of capacity expansion. At the Zhengzhou core node of the National Supercomputing Internet, the first fully domestic 100,000-card artificial intelligence supercluster has begun operation. Staff members told reporters that its special feature lies in the integration of scientific computing and intelligent computing, providing forward-looking infrastructure for potential new types of computing demands in the future.
Bu Jingde, chief engineer for high-end computing at the National High Performance Computing Engineering Technology Research Center, said that the new computing cluster’s peak computing capability per second is equivalent to 200 years of continuous computation by all humanity. It is currently supporting more than 300 types of computing tasks across 26 fields, including new materials, innovative drugs, and artificial intelligence.

In July this year, Sugon announced that China’s first fully domestic 100,000-card AI supercluster, “Sugon 8000 (Dengfeng),” had officially been completed and connected to the National Supercomputing Internet. Sugon 8000 (Dengfeng) uses a “supercomputing-intelligent computing integration” technology approach. Designed to meet the combined demands of high-precision scientific computing and low-precision intelligent computing, it supports the full-precision range from FP64 to INT8 and can cover scenarios including scientific computing, large-model training, AI inference, and industrial simulation.
On July 17, IT Home visited the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and photographed the actual “Sugon 8000 (Dengfeng)” system. The system uses immersion phase-change liquid-cooling technology to support megawatt-level high-power-density deployment in a single cabinet. It also improves cluster energy efficiency through methods such as domestically produced coolants and year-round natural cooling.
