During the 2026 World Robot Conference, Hanwei Technology and Zhuoyide jointly launched the world's first capacitive full-body electronic skin, giving bionic robots human-like full-body tactile sensing and intelligent interaction capabilities.

Officials said that current robotic tactile sensing solutions are mainly concentrated in areas such as the fingertips, finger pads, and palms of dexterous hands, while tactile sensing solutions covering the entire body and limbs are still lacking.
This full-body electronic skin uses capacitive flexible sensing fabric as its base. Its two-layer fabric structure integrates large-area pressure-array sensors with clothing, providing interference resistance and high precision, with sensitivity at the 0.1N level and millisecond-level response.
The electronic skin uses silver-colored, high-tech fabric with matte panels and streamlined three-dimensional tailoring. Its garment-like design makes it easy to put on, remove, and maintain, while allowing bionic robots to perform movements such as walking, running, and waving in a natural and agile manner.
According to the introduction, the new product has a transmission frequency of 500Hz and can process various types of data instantaneously at the millisecond level, enabling uninterrupted, low-latency dynamic tactile tracking and safe, natural, compliant interaction while preventing collision injuries to people caused by bionic robots.
