According to a report by CCTV News today, China recently led the development of the international standard "Performance Evaluation Methods for Household and Similar-Purpose Robots," providing a unified performance evaluation framework for the global household robot industry. It covers 11 core test items, including obstacle avoidance, slope operation, and energy consumption.

Products such as robot vacuums and air purification robots have now entered many households. Previously, the world lacked unified evaluation standards for household robots, making it impossible to compare performance across products. This international standard provides a unified performance evaluation framework for the global household robot industry.

It is reported that the standard focuses on the ability to avoid obstacles, cross obstacles, and move on slopes when evaluating mobility. During testing, the robot starts from its initial position, passes over flat steps, and enters a test area where table and chair legs are arranged in a plum-blossom pattern.
The standard specifies 11 core test items, including obstacle avoidance, slope operation, and energy consumption, providing household robot companies worldwide with clear guidance for technology development and quality control.
