According to Bloomberg, co-founder and president Greg Brockman told employees in an internal announcement that monthly revenue growth exceeded 20% in July alone. Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar previously noted that the company had experienced a period of rapid expansion, with annualized revenue growth in 2025 exceeding $20 billion (approximately 135.138 billion yuan at the current exchange rate).

Regarding market competition, Anthropic announced annualized revenue of $47 billion in May this year (approximately 317.575 billion yuan at the current exchange rate). However, Bloomberg pointed out that the two companies use different calculation methodologies, making it difficult to compare their annualized revenue directly and fairly.

To counter external competitors and defend its market share, OpenAI has actively adjusted its market and pricing strategies, lowering the prices of some AI models to attract cost-conscious developers. OpenAI has also hired an experienced cybersecurity executive to boost enterprise sales.
