Anthropic announced on the 10th local time that it had established a strategic partnership with asset manager Macquarie and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC. The three parties will jointly build the Theseus Infrastructure platform.
Theseus Infrastructure will be primarily owned by Macquarie and GIC, developing and operating AI infrastructure customized to Anthropic's needs. Anthropic will become the primary tenant of these data centers, while Macquarie and GIC will provide most of the equity funding for the sites.
The platform will initially focus on the U.S. market. Anthropic will bear any increases in consumer electricity prices that may result from these projects.
