According to a report by National Business Daily today, recently, the official account of Supor, which has held the title of “China’s cookware king” for 30 years, released a series of AI-generated short videos, drawing widespread criticism.

The videos in question show two men in a bathroom when a woman suddenly pushes open the door and uses a Supor-brand steam cleaner in a cleaning demonstration. The account also posted videos with similar plots, such as “a girl is showering, and a bathhouse attendant comes in to scrub her” and “a girl is using the toilet, and a janitor comes in to clean,” with titles containing phrases such as “What hasn’t Uncle seen?”
According to reports, after the controversy intensified, the manufacturer quietly took down the problematic videos but never issued a public apology.
According to a separate report by Sina Finance, customer service staff at the store said that “the store is an officially certified Supor store,” but neither Supor nor the store directly responded to matters related to the “suggestive videos.”
It is worth noting that Supor disclosed in its 2025 financial report that the company is “gradually promoting the testing and application of AI in areas including graphic content, short videos, and livestreaming to improve marketing efficiency.”
In addition, Supor’s official pinned Weibo post also carries an “AI-generated” label.

ITHome learned that Supor achieved revenue of 11.410 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, down 0.59% year over year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of 868 million yuan, down 7.7% year over year.
