NVIDIA and MediaTek today announced that they are deepening their long-term partnership to jointly build cross-generational AI infrastructure, edge AI computing, and automotive products.
MediaTek will use the NVIDIA NVLink Fusion platform to develop customized XPU chips for customers and integrate them into NVIDIA rack-scale systems and AI factories. NVIDIA is also investing $3.5 billion in overseas convertible corporate bonds issued by MediaTek (Note: approximately RMB 23.575 billion at the current exchange rate).
In addition, the two companies will continue collaborating to develop future generations of RTX Spark / DGX Spark computer chips. The companies will also continue to open up AI-enabled SDV (software-defined vehicle) platforms.
