Nate Parrott, a product designer for Anthropic Claude Design, posted on X yesterday (August 18), previewing the integration of the /design command into Claude Code.

Before writing code, developers can use the /design command to create design mockups directly in the terminal or the desktop version of Claude Code. For example, the command “/design a few options for {feature}” generates multiple drafts as a canvas. Users can choose their preferred draft, edit it, and then build it.
Claude reads the existing codebase, matches the current UI style, and creates shareable prototypes as Artifacts. The editor and prompting features originated in Claude Design and are now integrated directly into Claude Code.
