The Information reported yesterday that an internal document shows Meta plans to launch “Hatch,” a consumer-facing AI agent platform, in the coming weeks.

According to the report, Hatch is an agent built by Meta on top of the OpenClaw artificial intelligence virtual assistant. The platform is an important part of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s AI strategy. Its ultimate goal is to commercialize the company’s AI investments and reduce its reliance on advertising revenue.
Meta reportedly planned to introduce tiered pricing for Hatch, with the premium subscription potentially costing up to $199.99 per month (note: approximately 1,348 yuan at the current exchange rate) and providing higher usage limits.
In addition, Meta plans to launch its latest large AI model, codenamed “Watermelon,” in October this year.
